CUSTOMER INTERFACE SOLUTIONS
GijimaAst’s business mission is to facilitate the shift towards new delivery channels such as electronic banking and new branch structures through the provision of appropriate solutions, systems and services for industries processing monetary value transactions, for example banks, post offices and airlines.
Through our partnership with Wincor Nixdorf, we provide modular products and solutions for the self-service environment. These solutions are focused on F-POS, EFT, POS, ATM and Kiosk devices that can be integrated with other systems. Our software platforms are based on open systems architecture, providing clients with the freedom of choice on the selection of hardware. The Wincor Nixdorf and GijimaAst development team has vast experience in the POS and ATM environment.
Field support is provided countrywide. GijimaAst’s go-to-market model is to provide flexible solutions that can be delivered on a turnkey basis - owned by the customer and managed by GijimaAst, or owned and managed by GijimaAst on behalf of the client.

ELECTRONIC PAYMENT AND IMAGE SOLUTIONS
GijimaAst provides a range of niche offerings that enable clients to process payments and transactions, as well as to mitigate business risk of transactions through the use of various image and electronic technologies.
This includes three key solutions:
- The Metavante Product suite, which provides item capture and processing software designed to deliver optimum performance and accuracy and support the industry with its drive to reduce the cost to income ratio.
- The SOFTPRO Product suite, which includes signature capture and verification solutions that assist in the reduction of cheque fraud and enhance workflow processes through the securing of electronic documents and transactions.
- The APPIC Product suite, an Output Management solution that includes Document Design and Production, Distribution, Archival, Retrieval, Capture, Integration and Digital Signature.
Metavante Item Capture and Processing
Aside from the standard image-based cheque processing solutions, the offering also includes a number of additional solutions that cater for the total item processing requirements of an organisation that extend way beyond the traditional back-office offering. Other components available include:
- Distributed/Remote Capture - streamlined image capture, balancing, clearing and more, directly from the point of deposit (branch, merchant, ATM)
- Fraud Prevention – Identification of potential fraud items in the back-office as well as at point of deposit (teller)
- Reject and Repair - Automatic character recognition and document correction within the reject -re-entry process
- Transaction and Document Archive - long-term archival and retrieval of cheques, remittances, documents and reports
- Web-based Access - Allows cheque images to be securely accessed internally or externally by clients through an internet connection
- ATM Deposit Balancing - extension of the image item processing environment to the ATM
- CAR/LAR – extensions enabling CAR and LAR to be performed on items and used in verifying the transaction.
SOFTPRO Signature Verification
More than 200 financial institutions use modules of SOFTPRO’s SignPlus® Product, and SOFTPRO’s biometric solutions are increasingly used in all other industries, such as automotive, insurance, tourism, construction, health, life sciences and logistics.
Their product portfolio enables handwritten signatures to be used to secure authenticity in both Payment Transactions:
- SignBase - Administration of Signatures and Signing Rules
- SignInfo - Visual signature verification with digitized signature cards
- SignCheck - Automatic and Visual Verification of Signatures and Signing Rules
- SignTeller - Automatic online real-time verification for transaction approvals
- Consolidated Risk Score – Combines the results of multiple item processing engines (signature verification, check stock verification, PAD detection, and technical verification) and scores the item based on the evaluation of all results, enabling the item to be processed in line with its risk.

APPIC Document Management Suite
StarJet Document Management Suite (StarJet DMS) is a group of fully integrated software modules that help you manage all aspects of the document’s lifecycle by:
- Dynamically composing documents to present recipients with customer-specific information
- Combining data from multiple sources to make documents more informative and splitting data by type or location to enable truly targeted delivery;
- Delivering by print, fax, email or internet to get documents to the recipient in the most effective way (whilst further reducing mail costs);
- Batch retrieval of document indexes from scanned input documents or PDF files;
- Permanent storage in electronic archives, to guarantee that document copies are available on demand;
- Providing full compliance with X509V3 rules, certifying the document's origin as well as its full integrity.
